Jake Owen

An old event worthy of a post! On October 18th 3 of my friends and I went to go see Jake Owen in concert in Royal Oak and it was AMAZING to say the least. I have always loved country music and Jake Owen's music but fell more in love after seeing him in concert. His songs can relate to any situation, he can do everything from make to you cry to make you want to party! He is a great performer and is so personable with his fans. You can tell he is literally so grateful of every person in the venue for buying a ticket. Look him up on YouTube if you've never heard his songs.  My personal favorite song is Heaven. Love him!

My Idol!

Today I decided to share with you all my love for Audrey Hepburn! She is easily one of my idols, I love everything about her. Every picture I see she just comes off as such a classy woman. I always see quotes of hers and fall in love with every word. Here is my favorite....

I absolutely love this quote, it fits my life  perfectly, I have a serious love for lazy Sundays for this exact reason, I can often times be found in my room all day on a Sunday as a way to refuel. She is simply amazing! 

Pooches and Puppies!

This post is dedicated to my puppies! They are crazier than ever but at the end of the day and a couple times throughout it I love them more than anything. Working at the Humane Society I spend A LOT of times with puppies, dogs, kittens and cats but each day when I come home I still think mine are the cutest and the best. So here are my puppies:

{Mika - who also have 27 nick names is a one year old Miki (google it) she is crazier than ever. We got her in January from the humane society, she is always hyper but always loves to snuggle}

{This is Zoey  - she is a 1 year PomChi, she too is crazy and has an adorable underbite, her adoption with us was finalized yesterday! She is officially a part of our family. She is super cute and loves to carry anything in her mouth that she can fit!}

Happy Halloween!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! 

I love Halloween, I think that it is a great holiday, who doesn't love to get dressed up and eat candy? Halloween brings back so many great memories from when I was little as well, my sister Cari and I always knew just what we wanted to be and our mom would help us go all out with our costumes. Carving pumpkins is one of my moms favorite things to do and we would always cover the kitchen table in newspaper, have my dad cut the top of our pumpkins off and get to pulling out the "pumpkin guts" as we would call them. Then me sister, our friend Brianna and I would always go Trick-or-Treating together and out parents would alternate each year who went with us. The Land of Me!

Welcome to the land of me! My bedroom, like most people I'm sure is one of my favorite places in the world. I spend a lot of time in there and I love everything about it. I spend hours very often making it perfect, keeping it organized and up to date with my style. So I figured I would share with all of you some of my top favorite parts of my room: 

{This ribbon board is one of my favorite for a few reasons, it is by far the most unorganized thing in my room, it dates back to my freshman year of high school, I never take anything off it just add to it and mostly because it holds years of memories, from little things like cute tags off clothing to my 5K wrist band}

{This is where some of my tote bags and purses hang - I could never hang them all of these hooks would fall off my wall. Bags are my favorite item to shop for, obviously}

{Next up my jewelry holder - I have this one, one for my bracelets and pretty hooks for my necklaces, I chose this one because it hold my favorites - Rings and Earrings}

{Another obvious favorite my beddy bye (and of course my doggy Mika) My bed is so comfy and my favorite colors black, white, and leopard print ;) }

{The small side table in my room is also a favorite of mine, it holds my jewelry, old dried out roses, a stack of colorful girly books and a jar that holds old broken necklaces I can't seem to part with}

Monster Mash!!

This past weekend my sister Carian had a Halloween party, she does this every year to celebrate her favorite holiday. It was so fun to go and hang out with her friends and dress up in costumes, play games and have some drinks and snacks. Her apartment is so cute with all of her Halloween decor. New Jersey

As briefly discussed in my last post I recently returned from an 11 day trip to New Jersey! I went visit my boyfriend and his family. His mom rented a beach house in Lavalette that was a quick one block from the beach. It was so peaceful to have the only things on my to do list be, go to the beach, eat yummy food, spend time with people I love and play the day by ear. We saw fireworks for the 4th, took many trips to the Seaside Heights boardwalk and spent hours in the surprisingly warm ocean water! Here are more pictures from my trip:

In Hiding :)

Though it seems as if I've fallen off the face of the earth I can assure you I haven't. For the past ten days I've been in New Jersey visiting my boyfriend and his family. My week has been filled with going to the beach, eating lots of yummy food and visiting great people :) here are a few pictures (more to come) :

Up to speed!

I feel like it has been years since I have blogged last, but work, school and weekends jammed packed haven't really left much room for blogging. But I'm back no worries! I have a lot of posts planned for the up coming weeks! Today I wanted to share with you a "Throwback Thursday" by posting an old pic and its explanation:

With Father's day last weekend and his birthday next week I figured this would be a good picture to share. Me Time!

Today was perfect, I had the whole day off and the house to myself. I went to class this morning took a quick test got 89% and was on with the day. For weeks now I have had such a long list of the crafts I want to accomplish and today I set out and got them finished! Here they are:

Craft Night

Friday night I spent time doing crafts with my dear friend Nichole, we had a plan but then once we got down to business and started making things we both just ended up doing our own things, she made a wedding present, while I made cards, she made a gift tag while I made my redneck wine glass. Which is what I am going to share with you. A redneck wine glass is basically a decorated mason jar, glued to a candle stick and you can decorate as you wish! :

Lost and Found

Thursday I had the day off and I took a day trip to Grand Rapids to see my sister, we had lunch at The Sky Walk Cafe, looked around the gorgeous Amway and then headed over to antiques heaven! The original plan was to go to this event, which was help in downtown Grand Rapids, though the street vendors were a disappointment the actual antique stores made the trip worth it! Here are some pictures of the store that left me both speechless and repeatedly saying "this place is amazing":
